Cascades American Cafe: A Taste of Delight in Nashville's Gaylord Opryland Resort

My husband and I hand a late lunch at the Cascades American Cafe. The atmosphere, service and food didn’t disappoint. Our waiter Akram was amazing. He provided the perfect table manners from answering our questions, ordering our food and delivering it to us. Every visit to our table was sincere and with a smile. His hospitality reveal caring and experience, like a resort in the tropics. Our appetizer Roasted Onion dip and chips was a great starter. Both were freshly made as the chips felt warm and crispy with a nice crunch. The Roasted Lamb sandwich was a must try. The meat was moist, tender, seasoned and cooked perfectly. I would order it again, that’s how good it was. The grilled chicken sandwich was equally delicious. To top it off, Akram took our picture! Which was an added bonus because in that moment he switched to a photographer. He captured our anniversary moment and the pictures were beautiful. Our experience was one that we will never forget because of such an incredible waiter.

Always excellent, service is awesome and so is breakfast. Today I caught a server, Jamie, helping a mother of two tie some shoelaces. They have been staying here because they’ve lost power from the recent ice storm. Always love to catch someone doing the right thing. Nice job!

We went for the buffet at breakfast. Had to wait a little bit not long. They had a lot of food options and we had no problem. It was comfortable and fun. It is super expensive, but if you consider the extra time it would take to go somewhere else and wait in their line it just makes sense to stay and go here.

My wife and I ate here for breakfast this morning. I have to say, I don't know about the other foods they serve, but the breakfast offering was outstanding. You could go through various stations and select many kinds of breakfast foods that were available. There was a wide variety and everything I tried tasted great. There was even a station that offered fresh squeezed orange juice. All of the staff were friendly and professional. If you can't find any food you like here, I don't know where you would.

One of the best breakfast buffets you'll experience. Everything they offer is fresh and delicious! The made to order omelets are amazing! Make sure to get a GLASS or two of fresh squeezed OJ! The only thing better than the food is the friendly staff! Highly recommend!

Amazing food! Prices are very reasonable, everyone was super friendly. Sorry we ate the food before taking pictures. I had the burger and it was very good. Wife had the mediterranean salad and said “this is the best salad she’s ever had”

Chicken Milanes was really good after I squeezed the lemon, infused with the balsamic vinegar and oil and some salt n peppa. On top the rocket lettuce, mozzarella, and red yellow cherry tomatoes added a nice touch.

One of the finest breakfast buffets I’ve ever had. I’m a world traveler and have seen my share of assorted Breakfast Buffets. They have a variety of options for every type of appetite . From East coast to west coast. Chocolate gravy!! Yes they have it. Smoked salmon, 10 different types of jelly/Jams. Omelette bar / Pancake bar you won’t be disappointed. Fresh squeezed orange juice. It’s a must if you’re dining at the opryland hotel!!
